L'Igloo - Samoëns

We visited twice in one day during an extended walk at the start of the summer season. The sun was shining in the morning and the rain was pouring in the afternoon, but the welcome was super friendly on both occasions. Good range of food and drinks highly recommended as part of a day out in the mountains.

Stood in front of their “wait here to be seated” sign for 20 minutes being ignored by the staff. Oh well. Used to be a regular but never again

Actually there was an intimidating queue outside the restaurant when we arrived at 2pm… but we were in after 15 minutes or so.(you can’t book) It’s a bit of a sun trap and we like many others were soon wearing the straw hats provided by the restaurant! Quite a sight! ! Great salad and tart’s.

We queued out the door but so efficient and friendly and food amazing. felt very welcome and never rushed. A lovely touch offering hats to guests in the glorious sun on the huge terrace

Friday lunch on the sundrenched terrace. Great food, wonderful wines, attentive service, mountain views. This is why we've been coming for 20yrs!!!
