Globetrotter - Salzburg

Wer auf den Flug warten muss, Hunger hat und sich in den 1. Stock ins Flughafenrestaurant "verirrt", der sollte besser gleich wieder nach unten gehen und sich einen Imbiss besorgen. Total überzogene Preise bei mangelhafter Qualität der Speisen, welche zudem noch total verkocht und lieblos angerichtet waren. Hier hilft auch ein traumhafter Ausblick auf das Flugfeld sowie die angrenzenden Berge nichts mehr...schade, aber wir speisen hier nicht mehr

So, if you just landed or about to fly, this would be one restaurant I would definitely recommend for a mouth-watering Austrian delicacy. Be it in the afternoon with their Buffet (in their Market Place Restaurant) or in the evening with their À-la-carte (in Globetrotter Restaurant) the food is a must try here. They are all over the Salzburg Aiport - be it their Coffee Shop, their two restaurants on the first floor (one of which overlooks the flight landings) or their Terrace Restaurant (Dachterrasse) which is to die for, especially when the weather is good. I have also worked here in the past which is why I'm being able to tell the truth about this place and I'm not being partial at all since I have nothing to do with them as I don't work here anymore.I am a truthful reviewer who wants to help the travelers coming to Salzburg from across the globe.The food is really amazing, especially the Spare Ribs with potato wedges was delicious. And, the Cordon-Bleu which is more like Schnitzel (The Austrian speciality) but I find it much better than schnitzel as its cheesy, coated with some ham. It's yummy with the Preiselbeeren jam. Coming to the cost, it's an average as compared to other Austrian restaurants I have seen which are over-rated. The staff is quiet friendly and the atmosphere is generally very quiet kind of. These are the few things I have noticed and also experienced when visited as a guest. The restaurant is open from morning, probably 7 am but doesn't offer so much in breakfast. Their main concentration is lunch which jam packed coz of people from within the Airport dining in and during the dinner it's quiet peaceful and opened until 9 pm.I hope the review was helpful to the readers. Unpersönliches AirPort Restaurant.Unverschämte Preise - allerdings nette Bedienung.Ein Flughafen wie Salzburg sollte auf mehr Qualität achten

Komischer Weise finden nur wenige Reisende den Weg in das über dem Checkin gelegene Restaurant Globetrotter im ersten Stock des kleinen Flughafens Salzburg. Wenn man die Treppe hoch kommt muss man rechts! gehen, dann durch eine Glastür und schon ist man in einem schön und gemütlich eingerichteten Restaurant mit seit Jahren freundlichen Stammpersonal. Die Anzahl der angeboten Speisen ist leider inzwischen etwas ausgedünnt worden, die Qualität hat das neue Konzept aber beibehalten. Ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältniss, so macht warten Spaß!
