Bidrage med feedbackThis is NY style pizza in SLC, and it is the real deal. The owner's family has been in the business for a long time, so the recipe here is passed down. He's even importing his ingredients to keep it original! Slices are reasonably priced and decently sized. I'm a big fan of his Sicilian style also! Run, don't walk.
Been meaning to try this place for ages and finally got the chance tonight. They were out of small doughs which is a minor bummer but it means they’re making their dough sufficiently in advance which is great. I got a large and planned to take the rest home to eat for lunch tomorrow. A little pricy for a large pizza, I paid 30 bucks after tip for a large pepperoni and a drink, but it was done quickly. The pizza itself was pretty good. A quintessential NY slice, with a little bit of crisp and a nice chew. The cheese was perfect, and they even used two different types of pepperoni on the pie which added a little extra flavor difference. The sauce was definitely lacking. Very fruity, lots of oregano (and I like oregano) and just mediocre. That brought down the rest of the pizza, along with the large gap between the rim and the cheese where the sauce was especially noticeable. Other than that, not much else wrong with it, but those two things make it a 4 star pizza. I think I’d come here again if I had a hankering for a classic NY slice to hold me over before my next trip to New York.
The best pizza, subs and calzones. I tried it yesterday and had to come back today because it's so good. I lived on the east coast and this up there with Rays pizza in
Authentic New York Pizza, best pizza I’ve ever had here in Utah. If you haven’t tried this place I highly recommend it, mouthgasm every bite… and please never heat it up on the microwave you need to reheat it in the oven so you keep that authenticity crisp and
I’m from NY. Italian blood. Ancestors are from Sicily and Calabria. This place has a long way to go before refusing to make pizzas. 3 star quality at best. Won’t put ricotta on a build your own pie?! Can’t customize specialty pizzas and do bud your own?! I’ll give you guys a call when I want cheese and pepperoni, never.
