Tazza D'oro - SALSOMAGGIORE TERME

Popular place with a reasonable menu. The pizzas and pastas were quite good but the escalopes of pork were dry and bland. The house wine was pleasant. Service was ok, prompt and friendly.

We've eaten here before and always had a very good meal. Unfortunately, on this occasion we found the food not up to standard. The steak was overcooked, and just tasted wrong, (an offal taste), but we had already commented on the starters so were embarrassed to complain again, (no napkin, utensils). I know we should have mentioned it but the service was also very bad and they obviously had problems with staffing on the evening we went, so probably this is what caused the issues.

Stayed at a local hotel. Got very lucky and just walked in. Food was excellent. Had a delicious salad. Excellent. Staff really friendly. Very reasonable price. Totally recommend. One of the staff speaks very good English.
