Blue Canoe Bakery & Cafe - Salmon Arm

My girlfriend and I were traveling through Canada and decided to take a break at this artisanal restaurant instead of a chain. I'm not sure why we chose this place. The waitress was slow and unfriendly, and when I asked about toppings, she seemed ignorant about the food they served. My girlfriend ordered a simple ham and cheese toast, but it arrived cold after 20 minutes. When she asked for it to be toasted or grilled, they just put it in the microwave. While my toast wasn't terrible, I can't say it was a good meal or break. I hate to say it, but in my opinion, they need to improve because the prices are high for the quality. I wouldn't recommend it.

I've only been here twice over a few years and sadly, though happily open after their posted closed time, after tasting the items I had brought home, noted them to not taste fresh.

I returned to this restaurant after almost two years and was pleasantly surprised to discover new owners and a new menu featuring delicious Greek food. I enjoyed a tasty lunch on the spacious patio, one of the largest in downtown. However, I have found that consistency is lacking as I have visited three times and only one out of the three meals was great.

Great place that is very spacious despite its modest exterior. Awesome food that was classic (full fat and sugar) which was fine by us! A little on the expensive side for a classic diner breakfast but quite tasty!

This restaurant is a great choice for lunch or breakfast. The coffee is excellent, and the food is delicious. They make the best western sandwich I've ever had. The service is friendly and efficient. Don't forget to grab a loaf of their fresh bread, especially the sourdough, to enjoy later.
