Blue Moon Cafe Bbq - Salida

Visiting this place was an amazing experience. The food is great (my wife had salmon and I had a pepper steak), the recommended wine was great, the service was great, the view was fantastic. (very romantic). Simply we had an amazing night. I think that this place deserves to be No. 1 in the Hersonissos area.

We had a nice dinner mainly because of the nice lady serving us. The restaurant is part of a hotel and being visited by many hotel guest. Not very known by others yet, told the lady. We loved the atmosphere, furniture design and the great view over town and the ocean. This all made us rate the evening 4 out of 5. Don’t expect typical Greek evening, more modern European. Actually it wasn’t clear to me if this restaurant is a fancy place (decoration, wine and prices) or a general hotel restaurant with a average menu. Suiting for all different types of hotel guests. The dinner/food itself wasn’t so great though. I would rate the dishes a 3 out of 5. Fine, but nothing special. I had salmon with a sweet, dark Asian-like sauce. Some details of beetroot which seemed a bit out of place. And a quinoa salad which was nice. My husband had chicken in a creamy sauce served with French fries. The dessert a lemon pie was not as tasty as I hoped for. It missed sweetness and the bottom layer of cookie was more a crumble without much taste. Sorry to say, but it was some disappointing. Overall; give it a try, especially if the atmosphere, good service and the beautiful view is what you are looking for in a night out.

Our favourite place we have visited since staying in Hersonissos! The pita bread and tzatziki was the best we’ve had, calamari to start was delicious! Lavinia is an amazing host and very attentive she definitely made our experience. Knowledgeable about all the wine choices as well as a complimentary shot of Mastiha! Plus amazing views!

We stayed at the attached hotel for 10 days with our baby daughter and regularly went for dinner at Blue Moon. The restaurant rightfully attracts many guests from outside the hotel. The hosts are extremely friendly making sure you feel welcome.

Small family run restaurant with fantastic views over the coast especially at nighttime. We were celebrating the Golden Wedding anniversary of two of our party. The staff moved our table at our request to give us a better view over the sea. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff SO friendly and they gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate the special occasion. We arrived as strangers but left as friends. We went back a few days later for morning coffee. Staff remembered us and gave us a very warm welcome. We stayed for lunch and weren't disappointed.
