Cindy Lou's - Salem

Great food. the brisket was so good I didn't even need the sauce. the sauce was also good. And the Jalapeño rice was in a grocery truck, they came to the retiring party of our company and served everyone. really friendly people, would I recommend it?

The boys at Cindy Lou's are crushing the game. As a fellow event caterer, I was graced with Cindy Lou's presence at a recent event. I'm a big fan of self starters, good people, and excellent brisket All boxes were checked. Keep up the good work, Chris!

Super nice and friendly guys manning the food truck when we got there. They were right in the midst of making the food for our order, so we knew it was well-prepared and fresh. They were kind enough to tell us how their food truck got started, and the inspiration behind it, which is always fun and nice to hear because it makes the experience and food so much more personable. Regarding the food: it was tasty, and the portion size for each order was bigger than we expected (this is not a complaint). The chicken, ribs, and pulled pork were quite tender and juicy. However, the brisket tasted a little overcooked, which resulted in a slight toughness to it, and the mesquite flavor in all the meats was overwhelming after a few bites. I'm certain some people like a lot of that smoky flavor, but for my family and me, it was just a little too much. Their BBQ sauce actually tastes more like a spicy salsa, which I personally wasn't fond of. The macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and jalapeño rice were all quite delicious though. I was content with just those sides, and wish I had gotten another order or two of the rice. Overall, I'd only go back for their sides, which is a bit of a dampener considering it is a BBQ food truck.

Great food, great prices. I love the pulled pork, the brisket, the mac and the cheese and the cheesecakes. I wish they were a permanent menu option, so I don't have to check their facebook to see if they offer it before I decide to go. I have everything on the photos for $30. the spicy bbq is really sharp. I am not sure why other bbq places seem to get more attention than cindy Lou?s because I think it is the best in salem. I've never been disappointed with her eating!

Always love it, some cindy lous with the family. they have seats in the open, so they can stay or take their preferences on the go. johnny and the crew always come with delicious food. our favorites were today the braut (of course) the rice had an amazing kick, and always these mac! thanks for taking care of us?
