Chaat & Grill - Sale

We ordered takeaway from here, we had something different, including vegetarian. Nobody was disappointed with the choices.

We got takaways from the Sale Curry House and regretted doing so. The fish was inedible, it had a very strange texture and unpleasant taste. We ordered saffron rice from the menu. I am very familiar with saffron which has a distinct flavour and amazing...rich yellow/orange colour. The rice had spots of bright yellow food colouring through it. The menu said the yoghurt was homemade but was very similar to a supermarket sweetened yoghurt. The veggie curry said seasonal fresh veges, they tasted like frozen packet veggies..We love authentic food, the only dish that was good was the roti. And and it cost $47.00 for two of us. There is better quality and values else where in Sale.

Visiting Sale for work had dinner here solo. The curry and naan were fantastic. The service a little slow which was unfortunate. Decor is lovely.

Based on all 5 star reviews my wife and I visited the restaurant to eat. so short: papadums were stale. the escape of the Tandoori chicken were three pieces of chickens that were gray-white in color (apparently a yogurt dress), which was dry and almost unusable. the main course rogan josh was sweet and not spicy at all. the veggie curry was a little better, but very poor compared to other Indians we ate. just terrible. avoid them.

I recently visited this restaurant for dinner before attending the Archibald exhibition and had a fantastic experience. The food and service were both excellent. I would highly recommend it.
