Locanda Dell'isola Comacina

I organised a four day event in Como and one evening we were taken by water taxi to Locanda dell'Isola Comacina for dinner. I had receive brilliant customer service in the lead up to the meeting (thanks you Marion) and everything ran very smoothly. The relaxed atmosphere, entertaining host (who put on an “exorcism of fire” ceremony or a blessing to ensure the safe return of guests home). The food was plentiful we couldn't eat any more by the end, especially the cheese which we ate in blocks! What a splendid night in every way. Thank you to the island team for making our evening very memorable. I recommend this highly!

Well we loved the whole package! This is a unique experience, where you are welcomed onto the island and then served food and wine from a set menu that hasn’t changed for decades. There are many courses and each has a special quality. Sitting in the shade under beautiful old trees, looking out over Lake Como and the nearby local village is fantastic. The service is excellent, the wine is plentiful and tasty,and together with the food and camaraderie, the experience is awesome. Well worth a visit.

We came for lunch. The 7 course menu was fabulous including as much wine as you like. The views are amazing and the storytelling at the end including the final demonstration was excellent. We absolutely loved the experience and would highly recommend a visit.

Such a fantastic place with the friendly staff. We rented a boat to tour the lake and docked for free on the island. The view and the atmosphere are very difficult to beat, and the food was delicious and refreshing. Give yourself a few hours at least to have a proper time of your meal.

We went here to our honeymoon and it was amazing! Good, service, atmosphere. Everything's perfect. Is it actually closed?? I hope not! It has so much history!
