Bidrage med feedbackSet in a very pretty square in the town, this restaurant is cheap and cheerful. The all you can eat starter and mains buffet is €14 per person. It has a great selection of salads and hot mains, including food for children. I would recommend for a quick, tasty and good value lunch.
We choose to eat at the Senta Fe , the welcome by the owner was very warm, it was nice and friendly. La drink card was offset a good choice of drink an affordable price, the meal was a buffet style for 15.80 Euro as much as you can eat. A dozen of entrees choice, a couple dozens of main. The desserts were a la carte not included in the buffet price. The main meal included fresh Dorade fish , fresh Salmon, steak, roast, chicken, and vegetables, salad. Very good food home cooked. Nothing fancy but good. Beer, wine, food, 42 euro for two. Thank you . Served outside seating in a old quarter from the 17 centuries priceless .
Nice lunch on Saturday which is market day, very calm inside. It is eat as much as you want. Large selection, salads, meats, fish, snails, dauphoise potatoes, chips, rice, deserts, pates, cheese.
Set in the heart of the market square it is a very good place to stop for lunch after spending the morning wandering around the extensive market. The food is buffet style with all you can eat for €13.80, this does not include drinks or desserts which are offered on a separate menu carte. Start with a nice selection of salads, melon (2 types), cold meats, grated carrots, coleslaw etc. Then move on to the hot selection which incudes salmon in sauce, chicken in gorganzola sauce, roasted chicken, spicy pork, lasagne, pizza and much more with accompaniments of mash potato, chips, green beans. There is plenty to choose from and the relaxed setting, especially if sitting outside, makes it good for children. For once we didn't have a big argument of we dont like this we dont want that, they just helped themselves and got on with it. The food is by no means corden bleu but it was freshly made and a good selection. Tip, get there early (12 noon opening) to get the food at its best.
Ste Foy La Grande is a very pretty little town and this restaurant is bang in the middle on the town square. We nearly decided not to go in when we found it was buffet service as we do like to have a bit of a rest on a hot summer's day. I am very glad, however, that we did. On a weekday the lunchtime buffet was 13.80 and what a spread it was. You can take what you like and as much as you like and go as often as you like. The choice was huge, varying from snails to roast beef, chicken to pork, potatoes in many ways and of course chips, vegetable dishes, pastas salads etc etc etc. We thoroughly enjoyed everything though alas didn't have space for desert. All this with wine came to 33 euros!! A perfect place for the gourmet and the fussy toddler alike.
