Restaurant Gastronomic - Le Vallon de Valrugues

Our first impressions were very positiw of vallon de valrugues were very positiw. Unfortunately, our experience at restaurant michelin was not good. my French is mediocre. we were supervised by a waitress who made it clear that she was...unsympathetic to our problems with the translation of the menu of gastronomics. after a long uncomfortable waiting came a senior member of the staff and helped us. the service for the rest of the evening felt however often brusque and perfunctory. in a hotel flies the flags of many nations at its front it seems useful to expect some multilingual support. this is a restaurant that has forgotten that an essential aspect of courtesy makes that guests feel welcome. when we checked the payment system, it didn't work. we were asked to give up our credit card data for a later use. we decided to settle our bill in cash.

We had taken the menu in several curses, it was very good and diversified, we had also very good bottles of wine and champagne drunk, we had spent a very nice evening

We had dinner here 3 times during our stay at the hotel and each dining experience was fantastic. The dining room was beautiful and spacious. In good weather there is a lovely terrace for outside dining. There was a great selection of cocktails, wine and...other beverages. The menu and al la carte choices were excellent. All the food was very fresh, of the best quality, perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Portions were pleasantly large. The several kinds of warm fresh bread were fantastic, as was the cheese cart. The wine was superb. We loved the many special touches such as the amuse bouches and the mignardises. The service was outstanding. Every one of the staff was so helpful, attentive, professional, patient, and friendly. Thank you so much, Gaetan, Mary Ann, Cedric, Henry, Laurent, Frederic, and all the rest of the great staff for three wonderful evenings! We think this restaurant is better than any of the Michelin starred restaurants in the area – it certainly deserves a Michelin star. We highly recommend it, and can’t wait to return next year!

The dishes are pieces of art and the service is outstanding. Great food and wines. Highly recommended.

Besides the incredibly delicious food, the service was impeccable. The waiter definitely helped us with our selections and we were not disappointed. We had many fabulous meals in France but this was the best, by far! We still talk about it months later.
