Pj's Oyster - SAINT PETERSBURG

We have always enjoyed dining at PJ's, so we decided to visit again after some time. We were craving seafood and thought PJ's would be a good choice. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere for tourists, with a small bar, outdoor and indoor seating, and a great menu. However, I would only recommend trying the Stone Crab appetizer for $20 as it was the highlight of our meal. We ordered Chicago-style oysters and the Mahi-Mahi sandwich, but unfortunately both dishes were overcooked. We ended up taking the Mahi-Mahi home to try and salvage it by making a fish dip. I only managed to eat 2 out of the 6 oysters. The service was just okay.

Don't underestimate PJ's! My husband and I visited this restaurant based on a local's recommendation. We tried the gator bites, raw oysters, and scallops, and each dish was incredibly tasty! I also enjoyed some fantastic Mango coladas. The atmosphere is laid-back and casual, and the service was outstanding. Our server was well-informed, attentive, and friendly, and even helped us choose a dinner spot for the following evening. We are excited to come back. Thank you for a wonderful first experience!

The server at this restaurant had a culinary degree but appeared to lack understanding of Celiac disease and was not very attentive to my questions. The portions were on the small side, and I opted not to eat the fries due to cross contamination worries, with limited alternative side options available. The atmosphere leaned more towards a bar than a restaurant, which may be appealing to some.

Great food and service! I had the ahi tuna steak blackened and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. My mom had the Caribbean lobster tail and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious! They were very accommodating to our family with a 3yo and twin oneyear olds! Definitely will go back if in the area!

Love PJs. Had a great time celebrating my best friend's birthday. I even bought a t-shirt to prove it. First time, I would have to say the food was not as good as it was in the past. I will be back to give them another try. I probably just won't order theahi tuna. It wasn't that good at all.
