Bidrage med feedbackExellent service, great food and nice atmosphere. Staff speaks fluent english. Beef and side dishes were just from heaven, only bad thing was that we found this place the last night of our trip.
We went to Chuck twice during our 2 days in the city, they have fantastic quality steak at reasonable prices! We had the New York steak (highly recommended) and Ribeye steak, with some sides. They can get crowded at peak hours. My favourite restaurant in St Petersberg!
My husband I tried to eat here 3 times in a row for dinner. Perfect English spoken by the staff, had great reviews so we really wanted to try it. Each time we walked through the door they immediately said no credit cards accepted. My husband asked why it was no credit cards when they said that 3 nights in a row and always said tomorrow. And the girl corrected herself and said just Monday, Tuesday but Wednesday is credit card. Which tells me they were lying. In this day in age it is preposterous to except anyone to carry a significant I’m talking a lot) amount of cash. It is a major city and everywhere else we went accepted cards. You would think they would want to get business especially since the place was dead.
From reading the reviews this place sounded amazing. We really wanted a steak and went on a Monday and the place was mostly empty. After being seated and given menus the waiter came back and said it was cash only. We asked if this was everyday and he said no, just for today so we had to leave. We came back the next day for dinner ready to give it a second chance and were told by a different employee that Tuesdays were cash only. I asked if they ever took credit cards and she said yes, just not on Tuesdays. I asked about Monday and she said yes. I told her about being there the day before and then she correct herself and said oh, we take credit cards every day except Monday and Tuesday. I'm not sure if there is some kind of scam going on but what kind of place doesn't take a credit card in 2019? Especially when you are in the second largest city in the country. With the exchange rate, it would be foolish and dangerous to walk around the city with the large amounts of cash needed for the normal tourist. We want to the place across the street called Jager and had a fabulous meal there.
We had pork ribs and steak. Both nicely cooked and good size. Staff very friendly and speak good English.
