Urban Wok - Saint Paul

Ate here for the first time and was really impressed. I ordered the garlic, ginger soy stir fry with a side of Blackberry Habanero chicken wings. Whoa!! The serving size is huge and the food was delicious. Well done Urban Wok! I'll be back.Food: 5/5

My order was ready for me less than 10 minutes after I paid for it. I had potstickers and an udon noodle stir fry with agave, ginger, sriracha sauce. It was all really, really delicious. Plus, the portion is huge!I live and work within a few blocks of Urban Wok and I can order from my my apartment or office and the food is ready by the time I walk over. Whether I order lunch at noon or dinner at 10pm, the service and quality of the food is always on point.Definitely recommend.

Tuesday evening review from an out-of-town visitor attending a business conference at a nearby hotel: customer service was terrible (staff would not respond to or even acknowledge questions I or other customers asked), mediocre food that was unimpressive for the price, area felt unsafe to walk back to hotel (and did feel unsafe as I walked there alone, but even more questionable as the sun set) so I had to take an Uber to return less than 10 blocks away. The place (eating area, not just kitchen) was noticeably thick with smoke as if lacking proper kitchen ventilation. I intended to dine in but ended up taking out due to all the above factors.I would maybe give this place another chance during the day or as a delivery option but definitely not as a dine-in dinner option.

They are okay at best.This time 3 of us went in, no sauce was on our orders and not all the ingredients ordered were in there either. They were not super busy and had quite a few employees around, so not sure why the food was all slightly burnt and sauce-less aka flavorless.I knocked it down from 3 to 2 stars after remembering our last visit was also not great.And while I'm here- their floor is super sticky. Hence the atmosphere getting a low rating too.
