Downtowner Woodfire Grill - Saint Paul

Had a very nice time at The Downtowner. The restaurant was very clean, quiet, and welcoming. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, our beef tenderloin was excellent, the food arrived hot, and it was such a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy an evening out with friends.

Great evening prior to the Wild Game. Enjoyed our time there.

Nice choice of breakfast entrees at reasonable prices and good portions. Fun back to the 60s supper club feel. We enjoyed the pianist choice of music. We would go back!!

We made reservations for brunch and were seated at a nice booth. Our waitress was frankly borderline rude and cranky. The food was sub par. For 3 omelets and an egg, bacon and hashbrown breakfast, along with 4 coffees, our bill was $85. That’s insanely high for breakfast, but especially a breakfast that was not good quality or good tasting. After my husband experienced a very unimpressive social engagement here for work a few months back, we not be back.
