La Pataterie - Saint-Martin-d’Hères

The food here is amazing and drinks are cheap. Perfect if you want to have something a little different for dinner. Will definitely be visiting this restaurant again!

We live in Grenoble, and thought we would try this restaurant out for a Sunday lunch. It should be noted we speak fluent French. When we entered the restaurant, there were several tables available, and the host told us it would be 20 minute wait. He obviously assumed we only spoke English. We kindly pointed out there were several places available. He grudgingly seated us. After we placed our order, we proceeded to wait 55 minutes for NO food. It's a potato restaurant, not fine dining! We politely asked the waiter and host, and the host responded to us in regarding manner, and he blew a kiss in our direction. We were harassed, and the establishment should be embarrassed. This place is a joke. The funny thing is they pride themselves in being a fine restaurant, and we compare it to a glorified TGIFriday's only far worse. Never go here.

Disappointed visit, we tried the fondue but wasn't as expected. Well none of us tried a fondue in France before maybe that's why. Everyone else in the restaurant has "better looking" dish than us we were so regret for our choice . The dessert is way too sweet for me, not a big fan.

We were looking for a place for 30 people and Nicola helped us to manage it. Even if half of people didn't come, we had the best availability and service we can get, and on a Friday night! The quality is excellent (see photos to understand) and the price is right. The place is perfect for groups, but a bit noisy for a "tête à tête". Easily reacheable with public transportation, but I've seen parkings.
