Bidrage med feedbackVito's is by far the best Italian restaurant in Jacksonville. We have dined and occasionally take out and their staff is always warm, food is excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming. We enjoy it, Chef Giulio come to our table to welcome us. A must try when you're in the area.
Absolutely amazing experience at Vitos. We drove from Maine to eat here. Her pasta sauce is unique and magnificent. The French onion soup should die. Beef Gerstensuppe was fantastic and very pleased to see a restaurant that actually has it.
This is my absolute new favorite restaurant. I would recommend reservations, we have filled there at 5 and it quickly. First, servers and personnel were amazing. We had our 7 months old and everyone was super nice and interacting with her. Not expected, but only really happy to see her. We ordered a few meatballs to eat for them and they came out quickly as desired. My fiancée and I shared the Sicilian pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. Both were amazing. I love saucy spaghetti and that meets me. Loved the taste of the red sauce. I got the meatballs. We didn't get desserts because baby started getting Fussy. This is our new Italian take out/ reservation place. Put your hands down. Just note that I have, the bathroom could use some reconstruction. I felt it was significantly older than the restaurant that is stunning. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't fit the rest of the place when it made sense.
The atmosphere was great, they had a band in the vineyard. This was a family and romantic atmosphere that was beautiful before the order of the food. The food was great, we got Alla Rosa and Rack from lamb for the main course, while Calamari Fritti shrimp marinara served over a bed of linguini for appetizers. The day ended with Cannoli Lemoncelli for Dessert. I love her statement. Life is too short to eat bad Italian cuisine?
I'm Italian from Philly and I have to say that the taste of the food was surprisingly good. I normally don't expect much and don't usually eat Italian out, but it was for a birthday party. Flavors were on point and food was fresh. Taking away one star solely based on portion size as compared to price, nothing to do with the food. Pasta is probably one of the cheapest foods to make, so throwing an extra couple in a plate should be a no-brainer, especially because the sauce was really good. I'd recommend this place based on the quality and taste of the food, just order more than you'd normally order.
