La Plank - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

During our trip back to Vermont, we decided to make one last stop for poutine and we were certainly not let down! The servers were very friendly and it was great to see that they were all bilingual. The grilled cheese was also delicious.

We had a great experience at La Plank! The service was friendly and our food arrived promptly. The prices were fair and the food was delicious. The restaurant has two outdoor terraces and indoor seating options. Everyone at our table ordered poutine and we were impressed with the quality of the gravy and cheese curds. It was a first-time poutine experience for one of our friends, and he was pleased that it lived up to the hype from locals.

I went to the International Hot Air Balloon festival this week and was excited to dine at La Plank. The restaurant advertised closing at 10 pm, which I thought was perfect since I wanted to see the balloons at sunset around 8 pm. However, when we arrived at 8:50 pm, the server hurried over to inform us that the kitchen was closed. I found this disappointing as La Plank is a fast food restaurant and there were only a few tables with customers who seemed to be just served. There was no line-up either. We went to dinner on a Saturday and although there were some activities, I would not qualify that time is super busy. after the order we waited outside for over 45 minutes to get hamburger and grilled cheese. many suppliers. (skip the. came and picked up orders before we had our food. at one point no one came out in about 10 minutes and NO order came out (because we were not alone to wait. Of course, it was my first and last time I went to this place, not even a confirmation that we waited long.
