Bidrage med feedbackI decided to try the European Hot Dog, which consisted of a baguette filled with sausage, tomatoes, and mustard. It was delicious. Another dish that caught my attention was the Smoked Meat Poutine, which was equally tasty with its homemade gravy and excellent cheese curds. I would definitely return to La Boulangère next time I am in Saint Hyacinthe, as there are many other menu items I would like to try. Give them a try for yourself!
We had a wonderful lunch at this charming sidewalk restaurant, where we were greeted and served by friendly and efficient staff. They even helped us with our limited French speaking skills. The sandwiches were tasty and the unique side potato chips were excellent. It was a pleasant stop and we loved getting a taste of the local cuisine. As visitors from the United States searching for our roots, we truly enjoyed our time in this beautiful small town.
We're in Saint Hyacinthe the other week on business and on day we grabbed some lunch at La Boulangère. This is a nice little place in the old part of downtown Saint Hyacinthe across the road for what I call the farmers market. La Boulangère looks like it's a family owned place with a very extensive home cooked menu that has some really interesting and unique items. I decided to try something they call the European Hot Dog which a baguettes with a sausage, some tomatoes and mustard and it was very good. The other item that caught my eye was Smoked Meat Poutine, this was very good as well as it had a house made gravy and excellent cheese curds. I would not hesitate to return to La Boulangère the next time I am Saint Hyacinthe as there are many other items I would like to try on their menu. Check them out for yourself.
Bel acceuil , choix variés,bonne bouffe a prix raisonnables.avec la vue sur le marché Ét les vieux édifices de St Hyacinthe on se penserait dans un bistro d'une petite ville française .
We had a delicious lunch in this small, side walk restaurant where we were welcomed and served by friendly and efficient staff. They even assisted us with our very poor attempt at speking French. The sandwiches were delicious and their side potatoe chips were unusual and excellent… It was a nice stop and we enjoyed experiencing some local flavor. We were visiting from the states on a quest to find our roots, so to speak, and really enjoyed our visit to this lovely small town….
