Le Panda - Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie

Have visited Le Panda on every occasion we have visited Le Pas Opton, and have enjoyed the food, service and the company of friends who also enjoy Le Panda and revisit every year during our multiple breaks and visits to the Vendee Region. Good food including cooking as required at the time in addition to the buffet availability.

We visited this restaurant last week on a Wednesday evening. Although off the main drag, on a new site, the restaurant had several customers, always a good sign. It is a buffet type menu with lots of choice. There are plenty of Chinese appetisers and also sushi to choose from. In fact I could have spent a long time here. However there is also a wok dish where you take your pick from an array of fish, meats and veg and then take it to the chef to be stir fried in a sauce of your choice. There is no restriction on how much and other customers certainly got their money's worth.! To accompany this are the usual Chinese buffet dishes. Finally a large choice of desserts. Some of which we had never seen or tried before , perhaps we live sheltered lives. I now have a taste for crystalized kumquats and arbouses. All with several different flavours of ice cream. All for about fifteen pounds and its cheaper at lunch time. Best of all the restaurant offers a DIY take away. Great for us as it is on the way home from the beach.

Fresh cooking on some products, very disappointed

We went into a group for my son's birthday and everyone loved it. Sushi in a restaurant that offers a buffet at will is rather rare and very appreciated. The dishes are very good and the choice of dishes is quite diverse. We'll definitely come back.
