Bidrage med feedbackThe food is not what it used to be. Everything tastes like it was prepared ahead of time. I used to have their food monthly about 7-8 years ago and it was always good. I go there yearly now and everytime it feels more and more like a chain restaurant. It feels like they are so focused on expansion that they forgot about their roots. Ive brought up the subject with my friends and they all think the same, some of them even completely gave up on eating here. I do not recommend this restaurant as of 2022.
Excellent service. Breakfast OK.. nothing to out of the ordinary.
This is a classic French Canadian family diner, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Keep in mind that lunch at least on Sundays start at 1 PM. They are known for their poutine. We had their special poutine with added onion and meat, and it was very nice although huge portions!
Eating poutine at 1:25 a.m. should be filled with cheesy goodness and delicious sauce, but for over $15, we were disappointed to receive a small portion with minimal cheese and no sauce. We also tried the maple syrup pie, but it was not worth the money. The pie was not frozen, but the crust was soggy and the taste was far from maple syrup. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Tucked away on one of the quieter streets downtown, this is a gem! Attentive, friendly service with excellent food. The gazpacho, beef shoulder, and tuna crudo were excellent. Staff is bilingual and willing to suffer through your worst French. We had eaten at Roux Pettigrew the night before and this place blew it out of the water. Highly recommend.
