The Taco Stand - S San Diego

Great service, even better food. They accidentally gave my gf the wrong order and instantly fixed it within a minute. There was a decent line out the door but we waited no more than 10 minutes for the food. Would definitely recommend. Also very affordable with really generous portion sizes. Vegetarian options: There’s mushroom tacos and I’m sure you can ask for substitutes. There are large portion sides that are vegetarian as well.

The long line and long wait for food simply wasn’t worth it. It took us 45-50 minutes to get tacos that were good, not great. The crew couldn’t keep up with all the orders. Save yourself time and find a better taco place. It doesn’t live up to the hype.

I was really looking forward to trying the taco stand in La Jolla after hearing so much hype, but I was thoroughly underwhelmed. The burritos were incredibly sloppy, with fillings falling out the moment I picked them up. They also skimped on ingredients, especially the meat, which was barely there. To make matters worse, what little meat there was had been overcooked, leaving it dry and tough. I don't understand why this place is so popular. I definitely won't be returning.

It is delicious. The quantity is larger than expected. The one with beef is the most delicious.
