If you looking for a homemade, local food this is the place! They do the best petiscos . Delicious chicken piri piri and fresh fish!

Friendly people, good foor for a very good price. They are every day open except on Thuesday. They have a terrace and Free Wifi.

When I entered, the waiter looked at me as to an estrangeiro not welcome. I asked for the chicken piri piri and got a not pleasant answer that it was not available yet. It seemed also more expensive than in other places. I left and went to my neighbours restaurant that is small but has quality.

This is a real locals cafe. We have walked past it many times and it looks very rough and ready, but the smells from the kitchen convinced us otherwise. Have to be honest and say we have only eaten chicken chips here! And its fabulous. FRESH chips, an essential part of the chicken piri piri experience in Portugal! You may have to go find a waiter and keep walking inside if you sit in the small airy area at the front, this is a cafe, go with the flow. Chicken is grilled on the BBQ fresh to order, so prepare to wait a while, a good 30 mins! But its worth it. Cheap, local and full of paper table cloth character. Limited wine selection and far better to go and peer in the fridge to see what they have or risk your liver with house wine!

This small restaurant doesn't look much from outside. But the food is beautifully cooked and plentiful. The price is very good for the quality. We had the steak with egg, chips and salad. Proper chips, lots of salad and melt in your mouth steak . Service is lovely too .. try it .. the nicest meal we have had in Mesiness. We will be back
