Villa Rustica - Rye Brook

Being from Brooklyn you know good pizza yes the Bronx too). Very few places that I 've been to here in Westchester compare to places of my youth. I am a purest so to speak. Pizza should be crust, sauce and cheese my opinion). A good thin crust with crunch and chew is important as is the sauce. Villa Rustica has a good balance of sauce to cheese to crust. Yes they do some funky pies which I am sure are very good. Some of the other dishes that I 've had again standard basics like lasagna and eggplant parmasean were really good as well. Can 't ignore the service, you never feel rushed. The place is busy and always hopping and that is a good thing! It 's also a friendly atmosphere with lots of locals!

Recently re discovered this restaurant and so glad I came back on a whim. Definitely was renovated at some point with a now modern look. Classic Italian American cuisine with generous portion. Food came out very hot, I couldn't even eat right away. The mussels were drowning in a delicious red sauce. We dipped the warm, toasted bread in the sauce rather than using butter no shame!

Great little Pizza and... place. I love the Cauliflower Napoli Pizza (actually have cravings for it! . Very friendly service and atmosphere. Clean and comfortable. The owner is always at the open fancy pizza oven section. I 've tried a-lot of their dishes and it 's always great quality. Salads are fresh, soups are really tasty and hearty, pastas are nicely done. The other day we had the shrimp and broccoli rabe special. Really well done! A-lot of regulars here. They also do excellent take-out and delivery!

Stopped by here for the first time on our drive from MD to Boston. Ordered the Grandma pizza, a Caesar salad,and mozzarella garlic bread. Everything tasted incredible, pizza was hot with prefect crunch on the crust, and we loved the sauce. Parking was easy, service was friendly and kind. Would absolutely swing by here again.

Nice and cozy Pizzeria with a plus. The plus is a nice Italian food menu! Friendly and nice staff that makes you feel at home and the food is really good too!!
