The Cod Father - Ryde

A generous part of very tasty flush and chips, the fish fresh, high quality and freshly prepared, and all served by cheerful, friendly and professional young staff. eco-friendly packaging and cutlery very pleased we have our lunch at the codfather.

This quaint little fish and chip shop is located right by the sea. The crispy chips are absolutely delicious, and they also offer a tempting variety of baked goods on their menu. When we visited, it wasn't busy, and our meals were cooked to order. Inside, there's a long wooden table with benches, perfect for a family meal. You can place your order over the phone or take advantage of their delivery service. At the time of our visit, there was a Christmas special board that I highly recommend trying out. The staff are incredibly friendly, and there's convenient parking available on Higher George Street for a two-hour stay, as well as pay meter parking on the esplanade.

I apologize for being careless and not checking the packages beforehand, which resulted in an overlooked missing item. As a result, everything was packed separately.

The food here is really delicious! The staff is friendly and creates a fun atmosphere. I can see this being a great place to work. They also offer some additional items, like deep-fried appetizers, which can be ordered for home delivery. I’d love to see those on the menu board inside. It’s nice that some people were allowed to enjoy their takeout inside as well.
