I had the best fish I have ever eaten in Istanbul at this place. It may be a bit tricky to get there as you need to take a public bus and then walk a bit further, so it's best to go by car. I recommend going with Turkish friends as the staff may not be very familiar with foreign customers. They do not serve alcohol, including raki, but you will not miss it with the delicious salads, calamari, scallop, and shrimp dishes. We also tried a fresh fish of the day, caught straight from the Black Sea, which was excellent. You can see the fishing boats in the harbor, adding to the overall experience. The restaurant has a great view of a castle ruin and even dolphins nearby. I have heard that it is also a fantastic spot for breakfast. If you can find this hidden gem of a restaurant, I highly recommend visiting as you will not be disappointed. The pumpkin and carrot dessert with kaymak is also a must-try.
