Bidrage med feedbackPopped in for lunch on the off chance with an adult daughter. Lovely cosy dining room, friendly service and a delicious and unusual toastie (mushroom and haloumi). Had we had more time, we would have gone with one of the items from the main menu which were very reasonably priced. For dessert, we shared an amazing After Eight cheesecake which was sensationally soft and fluffy. Lunches and dinners are only available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays but we’re definitely going to become regulars! Highly recommended.
Had another lovely meal here last night. Vegetable samosas for starter and then a Thai curry with king prawns. Food was great and excellent value, and the chef was on hand to answer any of your questions and make you feel welcome.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch of Toasties along with a side of chips and a couple of pints of wonderful cider. We were made to feel very welcome by the Landlord and very much enjoyed chatting to the Chef about the food they have on offer and about how they might accommodate the dietary needs of folk who might dine with us there in the future. The food is freshly prepared so doesn 't appear instantly which was not a problem. When it arrived it was hot and delicious with probably some of the best chips that I have tasted. I really recommend this place. It is a great find.
Popped in on the off chance of eating on Sunday after a heavy saturday night partying (table of 4) made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar, the restaurant side despite being busy accommodated us if we could wait 30 mins as they were busy, good selection of starters very tasty, then boom our Sunday lunches were amazing, meat delicious, yorkie huge and perfectly cooked , roasties fabulous and great selection of veg, proper good quality home cooked food, portion sizes perfect, desserts are also incredible and happy to tub a couple up to take home, great food at great price. We were also attended too very well by the staff and will be recommending to anyone that will listen, see you very soon Stag and Pheasant
Fancied a change and like trying new places so decided to give this pub a go. We should have taken our cue from the very unkempt car park, but are always prepared to not necessarily judge on first appearances. Unfortunately we were made to feel like an inconvenience when we went in and received a very unfriendly welcome. Won’t be giving this place a second chance. Thankfully we were cheerily welcomed at the next place we tried.
