Mcdonald's - Rugby

This is a great maccies. I move been several times and it’s always been good. The staff are friendly (granted we all have an off day) but even when they are busy. I would recommend this one as a good stop off point mid journey.

We had an awful experience at the rugby McDonald's. We ordered on the McDonald's app and drove 15 minutes to get our ordered. Upon arriving at the drive thru and receiving our order I always pull over and check the order because I have had items missing from my order from this McDonald's 3 times in a row previously. To no surprise 3 items were missing from my order. I had to get out my car and go to the front desk. I was ignored by many members of staff as I stood at the till for 5 minutes. There was a gentleman (I presume the manager because he was in different uniform) stood at the front who ignored my eye contact on several occasions and just stood around. He was laughing and joking and even swearing in ear shot if customers with his staff. After 5 minutes a lady finally asked if I was okay. I explained I had stuff missing and she started to sort out my order. She explained that it would only take 3 minutes for the apple pie to be cooked and bagged up the other two items. I waited a further 15 minutes until I was finally given my food. By the time I'd got back to my car my McFlurry had melted and all the food was cold. By the time I got home, the food was inedible and once heated in a microwave was horrible and we didn't eat any of it. The customer service of the staff was incredibly poor and the meal inedible.

Brought my daughters 9th birthday party here after a trip out. I emailed our orders ahead earlier that day then rang to confirm we were coming 20mins before. Arrived and there were balloons for all the girls and food all came out correct to order within 5 minutes of our arrival. Really good customer service.

Excellent McDonald’s experience, probably the best I’ve ever had. The food was piping hot and tasty, the staff were delightful, and the entire restaurant looked immaculate and pristine. The real star of the day however, was Simon, he is a true gentleman. Simon greeted us at the door, with a charming welcome, lots of smiles and he was immaculately clean. He greeted all guests in the same way, and was extremely professional and polite. Once we were eating our lunch, Simon stopped by to check we had everything we needed, and enquired if we were happy with our food, which we were! This has never happened to me in any McDonald’s restaurant! When Simon moved away, he did not stop cleaning. which is clearly why the entire restaurant looks brand-new! We really just wanted to say thank you so much for making today such a good one, and it’s pretty much all down to Simon, he brightened our whole afternoon up, with his beautiful good manners and brilliant work ethic. Been here 3 times recently after frequenting this area a lot these days. my order is usually pretty simple. 2 sandwiches, no fries and a shake. the same lad served me at the drive thru on my first two visits and he was chatty and friendly and it's nice to get friendly service in the UK rather than the misery we are normally greeted with. ya know.....it's mcdonalds. same all over. its mcdonalds. whats there to say?
