Krancher - Rüdesheim am Rhein

On our first day in Rüdesheim we walked up the streets to the edge of the city centre and stumbled upon this place. What a find! Excellent food and wine at very affordable prices. Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service. Quiet and pictoresque just below the videyards. You should not miss this if you're in Rüdesheim. Very different from the busy restaurants downhill in the centre.

We are stayed at this family hotel. The quality of the food is good and lovely. They served local german food and the portion is royal. The local wine taste also good. Staff are friendly.

We are staying here and get a good breakfast every morning. We have eaten dinner here also and are very satisfied. The portions are big, well cooked and nicely presented. Their wines are also very pleasant. We especially liked the sweet red.

Well prepared food that draws locals as well as guests at the associated guest house. Non-Gourment (which is fine with me) but tasty and totally authentic German food. Given the number of low quality, tourist oriented restaurants in Ruedesheim, it was a pleasure to find an authentic German restaurant. Meals were excellent and portions very large. Highly recommended in general but I did make the mistake of ordering some red wine, which was marginal.The highest recommendation is that locals appear to eat here in the evening.
