Retrocade - Rowlett

Update: came back for our third visit on a Sunday evening. It was quiet and we had most of the games to ourselves. Lots of fun. Some machines were different this time. Guitar hero machine fixed. Had a great time! Stayed for a while. Came on a Saturday early afternoon and it wasn't too crowded (until parties came later in the afternoon). Because we came early in the day, my son scored top 10 on a bunch of games. He's walking away feeling like a hero! Nicely decorated. Lots of places to hold drinks and an awesome selection of games. I'm partial to pinball so I'm very satisfied there were a few choices. Bathrooms were clean. A few machines were broken or turned off, but there were plenty others to choose from. Prices fair. No outside drinks allowed but it is posted when you walk in, so we brought water bottles back to the car. Food was very salty. The fries, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks were very salty. I like salt but this was a lot for me. Fries had seasoning on them, we were able to wipe most of it off. I can't rate the funnel cake bites. My son ate them all before we could try one, haha. Will come again! We live fairly close, and the monthly option is tempting.

Brought the whole family. It was good fun. Food was way better than we were expecting. A few games needed some maintenance due to bad buttons or joysticks but that’s typical in any arcade.

Neat old school arcade games. Takes me back to my HS days in the 80s. Well maintained machines, great prices. Grandson loved it!

Plan to spend some time so you get your money's worth...or go early and throughout the day. most of the classics are here but have some defects not unlike it was in the day...but overall not terrible. This is a hard business model to maintain...so maybe they will fix wobbly machines and do some additional refurbishment. Lets keep visiting this place as it has potential.

This place had all of my favorite childhood games (tekken, ddr, guitar hero, all the pacmans). Its not a huge place, but they really pack in the games. The entry cost is very much worth it. Friendly staff, clean, variety of food and beverage. 10/10
