Even Life - Rowland Heights

I enjoyed a hotpot dinner tonight during this “fall weather” in Southern California. I arrived just an hour before closing at 11 PM, and although there were only two staff members working, they were busy yet very attentive to all the customers. I ordered the #2 with beef and their signature house milk tea. Overall, it’s a great place to dine in with quick service—a hidden gem! Even though the sign outside still says Rockstar Noodle Bar, the restaurant's actual name is Even Life.

This restaurant was a delightful surprise. I ordered the signature beef noodle soup with a mild level of spiciness, though you can choose to keep it at the regular spice level if you prefer. I opted for the egg noodles, and I also got the beef wrapped enoki mushrooms as an appetizer. Both dishes were full of flavor and exceeded my expectations. The noodles were perfectly thin and chewy, with a generous portion in one bowl. The broth was delicious, seasoned just right, and the beef was tender. The beef enoki had a unique sauce that made it stand out from the usual preparations. Overall, I would definitely return to this place. It's quite small, so be prepared for a wait for both a seat and your food when it's busy.

Love the atmosphere and taste of the food. Some of my favorite things in life are usually simple and clean--this restaurant exemplifies my taste in preferences! Cant wait to come back for the Lunch Specials

Seafood HotPot, sub par- 2 shrimps, 2 clams, squid tentacles, bits of fish, lots of tofu and imitation fish.... did not finish eating it. Fried Tofu was good but the sauce was too watery. Matcha Tea, however is excellent. Service was quick and good
