Bidrage med feedbackMore than halfway on our wine tasting road trip we started to become peckish. Such a neat place Jacob's creek vineyard is and we were lucky that they have their restaurant next to the wine tasting station. I had the pulled pork burger with chips. Pretty good. I didn't expect for the mint to go along with all the flavour but it did. Service was good, but ambience is definitely amazing. Love that it was overlooking the vineyard!
The final restaurant we dined was basically an impromptu decision, and it was appropriate I suppose to be ending the Barossa tour with a visit to probably one of the most famous wineries out of the region – Jacobs Creek. The restaurant sits within the Visitor’s Centre and has a big area with a spacious separation between tables – giving you the privacy that you would want.
Went here for lunch today with a Scoopon and loved it!! The food was yummy, fresh and staff were very professional. Loved, loved, loved the chips!! Wasn't a fan of the Pate however. The view is lovely too.
Great day! We had only planned on going for lunch but ended up staying for 4 hours, we did a wine tasting, had a 3 course meal, tried the grapes off the vine then hired bikes for an hour and road around the vineyards. Recommended food: Pulled pork burger, the fresh local meat/entree platter was also really good.
Beautiful scenery and beautiful setting in the restaurant. The restaurant is just right next to the wine tasting bar, so you can do your wine tasting before or after. The good thing about Jacob's Creek is that they have a breathalyser. You can constantly check your alcohol limit before driving. As said in advertisement, thinking you are ok and being ok is two different thing. Greet by friendly staffs, can be short staffed sometimes (late in delivering food or coffee, couldn't get a staff to order more) but in general services are good. Menu look a bit unprofessional and a bit messy. I was hoping to see a fancy book or fine print rather than just paper and clipboard. Food wise The serving can be quite small. One dish per person is definitely not enough (maybe only applies to lunch as I was there for lunch). The cured tuna is amazing with fennel slice, orange sauce and locally grown herbs. It was very refreshing. The fritters was good but nothing spectacular. Chips were crispy and well seasoned. It is not way too oily. For me the highlight of the whole lunch is the dessert, orange cake with fig and frangipani cream. It was absolutely delicious, flavours all work well together. I wasn't quite sure with frangipani cream but it was simply fantastic. Was not entirely satisfied with savoury and the dessert just make me feel worth it to be there. Drinks wise They have one of this aged Shiraz which taste absolutely delicious and smooth. It's only about $15 per glass. The whole bottle cost about $100 . Wide range of wine list, it will cater to all tastebud. Overall, my experience was good. Would be back again to try some other on the menu.
