Bidrage med feedbackReally nice restaurant in the center of the village with typical Irish ambiance. Efficient service. Excellent food. Recommend the pasta/salmon and the goat cheese/aubergine/sweet potatoes. Very good coffee (at last!
Stopped off on our way to Errisbeg and had a few pints of Guinness outside in the sun. The pints here are some of the best I've ever had. We booked a table for that evening and the next. The interior is rustic and charming and the staff are very friendly. We started with the fried calamari, delicious!! My wife ordered the lobster and I had the seafood platter. Lobster was also delicious and my plate was tasty, however I didn't realise it was mostly a cold plate of fish. The salmon was mixed with prawn cocktail with only some items served hot. The following evening I had fresh oysters having had one on my previous main, I knew they were good. They were excellent, fresh and so tasty. Seabass with veg and potatoes was so good and my wife had the crab claws. The food was top notch. This place is a must if you're in this neck of the woods.
Stopped off here on our way through Roundstone. The service was good and the food was tasty. A nice touch was the savoury scones instead of a basket of bread. I thought the crabs claws were delicious but seemed expensive for what was presented on the plate.
Delicious local restaurant with options of several local dishes including fish dishes and lamb stew. Oysters were also available.
Sometimes you just find the place where i Guinness is perfect and food tast the best. We chose Seafood Cocktail: Whíte Físh, Prawn, salmon, Marie Rose Sauce on Salad and a plate of chips. For dessert we hade strawberry and apple with crumble.
