Visiting Rotterdam? Want to visit a charming cafe/bar/restaurant that 's 120 years old and eat delicious traditional Dutch food? (At reasonable prices) Then look no further than the Ballentent. Gezellig (cozy) traditional bar/restaurant with ample outdoor and indoor dining spaces, steps from the city center, overlooking the harbor. Travel back in time and taste. Their meatball specialties, hence the name, are entirely unchanged over the last 120 years. Apparently, even the butcher that supplies the meatballs is the original since the place/ 'tent ' opened in 1902. We can 't wait to go back in the evening, when the place comes alive with a local crowd and old time music. Highly recommended.

Old world bar served with an ecliptic blend of decor built in the last 50-100 years eating (was only for coffee and drink,) but it looked good. if back in Rotterdam would definitely visit again

A beautiful oasis of fun and tradition. beautiful eating (captain’s teller recommended, if magen is ready enough) nice atmosphere, nice staff. so much done that they will be surprised at the end of the cloud scratches when they leave the place at the end of the evening.

I really liked this place. simple but tasty and inexpensive food with many delicious frits. on a hot, busy evening our waiter was great even after a 13-hour shift) and eating came fast. beautiful selection of beer and the view over the water is too romantic for cake. we'll go back in any case.
