Bidrage med feedbackThe food and service at this restaurant are excellent! The Sunday roast is a great deal with a generous portion. The duck leg confit and Salmon with pasta dishes we tried were delicious and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
We recently visited a reopened restaurant and had a wonderful experience. We want to thank Lou, Lee, and the rest of the team for their warm welcome and the delicious meal. We are happy campers, Andrea and Mike.
After discovering the menu on social media, I decided to try this restaurant and was not disappointed. The starters were delicious, including pigeon and ravioli, followed by the rabbit and lamb rump. The rabbit portion was huge and I couldn't finish it all! The food was all wonderfully prepared. The total cost for 2 courses, drinks, and coffees came out to £90. I would definitely recommend a visit. The staff were friendly and we have already made a booking for Sunday. Not only is the chef talented in the kitchen, but he's also easy on the eyes.
I think the new ownership has got off to a fair start and they are certainly busy. The food is good but they need to be able to sustain the 'fancy ' whilst ensuring the basics like speed of service, serving hot dishes hot and checking seasoning. Nicely presented food. Friendly staff and average prices. I suggest cut down your menu to maintain quality and add more vegetarian (fish is not vegetarian btw! and vegan options. And if staff/managers have to have a fag break please spray and chew mints at the very least before you restart your work. Wafting in on a cloud of cigarette smell really is off putting for your paying diners. Generally good with the potential to be great.
Booked for 5.30pm because I thought it would be busy but we were the 1st in. The locals don’t know what they are missing and really need to get behind these local businesses. The food was very very good as was the service from the attentive staff. We will definitely call again.
