Weald Smokery - Rother

Despite living in the area for a few years I’ve only recently discovered the joys of the Kiln Room bit it has become a firm favourite. The staff are genuinely friendly, the coffee is consistently great and the cakes and savouries are exceptionally good. The prices are reasonable when compared to similar venues nearby. I’ve just tucked into the tastiest slice of carrot cake, which was served with a smile, just what you need on a chilly December day.

We stopped for a really lovely cup of coffee and very tasty bacon bap on our way home. Apart from the really friendly staff and the coffee being the best cup we’ve had in the week the bacon was smoked by themselves and was delicious. We left with a couple of bags of tempting treats. I don’t usually leave reviews but after having the smoked trout for supper tonight I felt obliged to share this gem with the wider public.

Very unfriendly staff. It was almost like we had interrupted their morning. Used to live this little coffee shop/deli. Won’t bother again.

An incredibly well (and beautifully) stocked shop. The cafe is delightfully light and airy (but cosy too). The staff in the cafe and shop were warm and helpful. The cakes were delightful.

Wonderful coffee and delicious cakes on a rainy afternoon heavenly! Great selection of foodie treats in the shop.
