Bidrage med feedbackThe staff at this restaurant were wonderful, but the food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the steak and my mum had the roast. The roast lamb was tough, the potatoes were inedible, and my steak, chips, and onion rings with peppercorn sauce lacked any flavor.
This charming traditional-style pub is delightfully welcoming. They keep Harveys beer in top condition and offer a sensibly sized food menu.
My spouse and I decided to give this pub a try, so we made a reservation and were pleasantly surprised. The pub is located next to a stunning apple orchard on the Udimore ridge. We ordered the lamb and it arrived promptly. The lamb was thinly sliced and the entire dish was reminiscent of good, home-cooked food. The roast potatoes were crispy and delicious. Dessert was also included; although I was already full, my wife tried the bread and butter pudding and enjoyed it. Overall, it was great value for the price and we received a warm welcome.
I came here for a spot of lunch at it was gorgeous. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. Both the food and the Service was outstanding. I definitely recommend.
We visited this pub as a family for a Sunday roast however our experience of this was terrible. The pub posted hand made food and we was offered the choice of turkey beef or pork and for £1 extra you could have another choice of meat,so we opted for turkey. When the meal arrived we were served with a small plate with two rubber potatoes, veg that was hard and crunchy and gravy that was obviously straight out of a pot,and was obviously gravy granules and the turkey was wafer thin packet turkey and we had one small piece each. The beef was fatty and obviously straight out of a packet and very chewy. Halfway through the meal we was asked if everything was okay to which we complained that the food wasn’t very nice so the lady said I’ll relay this to the chef, we all opted for the cheesecake which was meant to be home-made and it was it was disgusting, the topping on the cheesecake was not stodgy like it should be it was like they had used some sort of moose which was bubble and the stuff that was drizzled on the top looked like gravy. when it come to paying we then complained again but they offered us no discount so my wife paid then we complained again to which the bar lady said she would go and speak to the landlord. she then came back a few minutes later took £20 from the till and basically threw it at us. The whole experience was terrible don’t take our word for it go and try for yourself but be warned the Sunday roast is awful.
