Limani - ROSLYN

Food was ok. I didn't appreciate being charged $150 for a bottle of wine that was opened for me in error. They brought the wrong wine and then tried to give me complimentary dessert instead of adjusting the bill or even splitting the difference with me. Left a bad taste in my mouth.... Literally

No one ever came over to see how things were. Never asked us for a second drink while there for a hr and half. Had to flag someone down to get table clewed and get coffee. Then sat there another 10 minutes waiting for somone to come back again. Poor service

The table next to us was given our appetizer, we had to wait and tell them as they didn't notice. When they did, it was a wait and table next to us got it no charge and we got charged for a late appetizer. Table next to us got it free and we didn't ...WOW

Limani continues to deliver a very pleasant experience. The waitstaff and front desk are extremely cordial and helpful. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food is above average but only just that. Many Greek restaurants in Astoria will be less expensive, have larger portions and be just a bit tastier. We choose Limani for its location and atmosphere and will certainly return in the future.

I never write reviews, but my recent experience at Limani was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. During our visit, we found a bug in our food. Instead of apologizing, the waiters simply took the dish away and asked us to order another one, making us pay for it as well. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, this is unacceptable. The least they could do is ensure the food is clean and handle such situations with better customer service. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.
