Il volpe is a 10 restaurant-pizzeria. Excellent quality-price, but above all quality, both for the excellent food, mostly homemade, from wine to oil, from pasta to dessert, but also quality of welcome and service. There is an air of home, a contained, well-kept, clean environment. In summer we eat in the piazza , in the cool, in joy and harmony. Their cutting boards are unmatched, the pizza is good and digestible. There 's something for all tastes. It is advisable to book because despite the speed in bringing out the dishes, it is always full, summer and winter, this says a lot, ask yourself why! All the staff are crazy, they welcome you like family. Valerio often comes out to explain the dishes. Claudia coordinates the room excellently, Andrea a marvel at the pizzas. My favorite restaurant.
I have just reviewed this restaurant with 4 stars only because they define themselves as such but the catering is simply sublime... leaving aside the very good pizzas. The location is located in the rooms on the ground floor of an ancient house in the center of this characteristic and well-kept town... in summer there are large spaces outside. Of this early autumn period, the land dishes are the expression of the goodness that mushrooms can give together with the inevitable truffle... Homemade pasta gives the various dishes an extra edge if they are then added to the various condiments prepared with innate wisdom... our palate will only have to rejoice... The simple tagliolini with truffles become the perfect amalgam in their consistency and abundance of seasoning... the tordelloni filled with braised meat with particular cheese and equally particular pepper. ..they are a guarantee of flavours...the strips with Cinta Senese ragù sauce are unparalleled...The spectacular second courses...and if you love osso bucco, be sure to order them when booking the restaurant and you will be amazed by the presentation on a cutting board...with its generous cut and softness served with a terrine containing a herb to be combined in addition to a truffle polenta with flakes placed on top...magnificent!....You can taste the various sliced meats such as the tasty picanha ...the duck breast prepared with skill...all dishes including side dishes...from porcini mushrooms to ovules...to the simple but very tasty new potatoes obviously cooked on the grill...The finale of desserts made all in home will be a very welcome surprise....good and recommended house wine....Young and very kind and obviously motivated staff...average prices..but you will realize that the food...was not average !!! Ogni volta che veniamo in questo ristorante, il livello migliora. Consiglio di venirci la domenica a pranzo, quando con più tranquillità lo chef propone piatti ricercati e di alto livello. Personale simpatico e gentile. In estate la piazzetta è deliziosa. Ottimi anche gli hamburger e le pizze.
Consigliatissimo, ci sono stato per la cresima di mia figlia. Valerio ci ha fatto tre bellissimi menù...tutto buonissimo ed abbondante, moltissimi prodotti di produzione propria dal pane, ai formaggi ai dolci ecc Veramente da provare, tutto condito dalla gentilezza e professionalità di Valerio e Claudia. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo!
