Bidrage med feedbackAfter reading some of the reviews we decided to dine there. By the time we reached the restaurant around 8:30pm, there were no other customers. The owner was outside, smoking and drinking with friends. There was a lady who greeted us and invited us to sit, we were speaking Spanish but she spoke only French. After seeing the owner's group at the entrance and the atmosphere inside we just decided to go somewhere else for dinner ... They didn't seem either professional or interested in getting customers. Not recommended.
Great selection of fish tapas. Friendly service. Kids menu good value but could be better. Would go back and try the other tapas too!
Take the time to find this restaurant, in the back streets behind the main parking. Now run by two charming Frenchmen, Spanish food with a French twist. They have meat sharing plate or fish sharing plate but they now have a wonderful fish platter, 34€ for 2 people, it was sooo good. Lovely fresh prawns, razors shells, cockles, two different sorts of white fish fillets and fresh tuna. Everything is fresh from the fishing habour and you can taste the freshness, be patient, they cook to order. We went as a group of 4 and were struggling to finish the fish, it was so copious. And yes there is a full menu if you want something different. Will be back, loved it.
The menu looked good, the welcome was warm, but this was a very average dinner. It was probably not a good idea to go to Saxophone on a November evening, but there was really very little else open. There was nobody else in the restaurant so we stuck to the golden rule and avoided the seafood no telling how long it had been hanging around. We had salads that were, at best, mediocre. Clearly from some of the good reviews, Saxophone can do the business just not on our night.
We stopped in for a late dinner and shared the 5 item appetizer and grilled fish, all of which were fresh and tasty!
