Ihop - Rosemead

The restaurant was very nice and clean and I still ate the delicious food even after being in the bathroom w a staff member who use the bathroom and didn't wash her hands.

We took pancake banana and strawberry as well as pancake combo. Both my friend and I enjoyed the breakfast and the waiter was so nice and friendly and was so helpful. I did not want glaze and cream on my pancake so that's why my pancake seems a bit simple. It was so delicious and fluffy though.

Haven't been to IHOP in awhile and happened to go on a holiday and it was rather packed. I'm not sure if it's usually as packed on a typical day or not. Fortunately we were able to be seated after not too long of waiting. The server attended to us right away and the service was good and friendly. Even it was a little busy, it didn't take too long to get our good. The portions were smaller than we expected and the taste was just average. I found that the coffee, which was $3.29, was a little weak. While McDonald's, 7Eleven and other breakfast joints offer $1 coffee, paying $3.29 for a rather watery coffee was a bit of a turn off for us. Despite the lackluster food and pricey coffee, we liked the service there.

IHOP is a chain restaurant located in Rosemead Plaza. We visited on a Monday morning for breakfast and ordered their special buttermilk chicken and pancakes, along with some fresh fruit and coffee. You can tell a great pancake house just by tasting their pancakes, and unfortunately, IHOP falls short in that regard. While the pancakes were somewhat fluffy, they lacked the ideal thickness, firmness, and fullness that you expect from a truly great pancake. On the positive side, their coffee, chicken breast, and mixed fruit were quite enjoyable. The service was reasonably quick, taking under 16 minutes after placing our order. The staff were friendly, capable, and professional. This was only my second visit to an IHOP in years, and I was disappointed once again. Overall, while I had a pleasant experience with the service and staff, I was extremely let down by the pancakes. I believe they could improve by enhancing the quality of the flour and ingredients they use.

The service was quite disappointing. We had to wave down the staff just to settle our bill. We waited for over twenty minutes just to place our order, and when it finally arrived, it wasn’t exactly what we had ordered. I wouldn’t really call their French toast “French toast” by any stretch of the imagination. Overall, it appears they are understaffed, and the manager seemed more interested in his phone than assisting customers. It took me another twenty minutes to flag someone down to pay.
