Jonny B. 's Tavern - Rome

First time here! I would first like to say that we will be absolutely back. Our Mozzarella Stick appetizer came with our dinner, but no worries. The food was so hot when they broke it out, excellent! Baked Schellfisch was delicious, very full of taste. Coffee was fresh and hot. The service was amazing that everyone asked if we needed something and very friendly. As a previous server I find that most places do not often have good service, but these girls were very good. Definitely come back!! Recommend your place!

The Rennie 's have really revived this place (the former Okey Dokey 's)! My first impression was a simple, clean restaurant/dream with a cozy adirondack theme. It is easy to see that this is a family business from the friendly service and smile. Anyone who works here really cares and does their best to make sure you have a wonderful experience. I started with the homemade chowder and must say it was one of the most delicious soups I ever had. That's not a soup from a can or bag. It was homemade, fresh and piping hot! I ordered the Jonny B Sandwich, which was very recommended, and for good reason. It was light, crispy and full of taste. You can eat this for lunch, dinner or some cold beers at the bar. My side was sweet potato fries with a cup of homemade ranch dressing for diving. The frits seemed to have an additional dough on them, which makes them extra crispy and crispy. All right! I usually don't care about Ranch Dressing, but that was homemade there, so I gave him a shot. It was thicker and creamier than your typical from a bottle of ranch and I really enjoyed it. Dessert was banana care with a rich, creamy sauce from scratches. It was absolutely decadent! It is clear cook Jon Rennie experienced and takes care of quality. It's selected fresh, high-quality ingredients, and so much of the menu is freshly prepared daily. I am happy to visit here again and again so I can experience everything the menu has to offer. You have a nice selection of favorite beers on tap and the bar looks like a great place to meet some friends for a drink, or to watch the big game. 5/5 stars here and I will come back soon!

We were there twice this week! The food is absolutely out of this world! The Johnny B Sandwich is excellent and so packed with taste, you can taste how fresh their queensedillas are, and the appetizer we had (I can't remember what it was called but they were a kind of fried risotto ball) was incredible and the Marinara sauce that came with them a perfect mix of flavors, they could taste the spices in it and it made the whole difference! The owners are very attentive and welcome the customers, and the waiting staff is very nice. You were so enthusiastic about shops (this Friday above all), because there is a ENTIRE fish menu, with tons of options for your Friday fish fry! I saw a complaint that they ran out of fish, but it was their first Friday open, and they said they were better prepared now because they know what to expect. The food is unbelievable, and when the bends of the opening of a new company are cleared out, I am sure they run much more smoothly, although I personally have no complaints. Friendly waiting staff, great owners, nice bartenders and great, great food! In any case, give this place a chance!!!! 5 stars!!!

Fish fry was worth the 20-minute drive from Utica! 10 different fresh Haddock options!! The service was great and the food came hot and fast. Can't wait to go back and bring friends! And the Risotto, yum yum!
