Bidrage med feedbackForeigners unfriendly place, no english menu, staff hardly speaks any English, chaotic and nervous atmosphere, since they cannot manage full restaurant with the menu they have /especially with hot meals/. when we were waiting for food 40 minutes above empty plates from starters and empty glasses, at 21:40 I asked if I could cancel second course /one plate that was ordered just for me/ since my daughter was tired and it was too late for me as well, guy behind the bar /the only one with at least some English/ made a scene that we are not the only one waiting, they have 60 people there and threw the bill in front of me. His arrogance continued when he came to the table and ironically asked what else we would want. He was obviously nervous and stressed the whole evening due to the whole not well managed situation, but solving his issue on mother in front of her daughter? He was lucky that I decided to not escalate the scene due to my daughters presence… pizza my daughter had as a starter was more focaccia with ham and mozzarella on it, taste was quite average, they can make cold bites but that is about it.
In the quiet neighborhood of Prati, across the street from the Le Meridien Visconti hotel is this amazing wine bar with the friendliest staff we’ve yet to meet in Italy. Alessandro was such a sweetheart. We tried out some of our remedial Italian on him and he was so helpful in improving our knowledge of the romantic Italian language. We had some amazing wine, nestled in a comfortable outdoor seating area, and the charcuterie board was outstanding! With 3 days left in Rome, we’ll be sure to stop in again before we leave! Great prices, great food, great people, and take away bottle service….what else could you ask for? Grazie Alessandro for a wonderful night! ARRIVEDERCI
We'd set out for a stroll in Rome but ended up walking all the way to just north of the Piazza Cavour. Fortunately we found Kiarotti Wine and had a cosy place to recover with a few glasses of wine. It's a small wine bar and shop that also serves food. We didn't order any food but what we saw looked good. The staff were helpful and friendly and with their patience and a mixture of English and fragmentary Italian we tried some lovely wine. The wine bar is on a fairly quiet street and there are a couple of outdoor tables, or you can sit indoors and admire the impressive range of wines. Well worth a visit if you're nearby.
Very kind and competent owner on wine. large cellar and perfect service. I would say super recommended and great outdoor space
