SantoPalato is a gem in Rome for authentic pasta, with the carbonara and amatriciana being real standouts. Started with some tasty bruschetta, too. While the food nailed it, the service was a miss, unfortunately. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest, which was a bit of a letdown in the otherwise cozy vibe. Carbonara and Amatriciana are among the best in the whole city, not to mention the heart and the chicken pajata in omelette. Selection of wines nothing short of exceptional. Well done! Well done! I had very high expectations given the 1 and a half month waiting list for a table, but the disappointment came immediately with the cold and unwelcoming atmosphere, we dined all evening surrounded by midges and went home with our clothes smells badly of cooking, the raw materials are undoubtedly the only positive thing but I would say the reputation and the bill are unjustified Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
