Amodei - Rom

We ordered the two risotto dishes available, and unfortunately neither were good. The mushroom seasoning seemed generic. And the radish one was bitter and unpleasant. I don't recommend the risotto to anyone, it was risotto in name only. There was no need to add cheese to the recipe, it wasn't creamy at all, it looked like normal rice. When we got to Rome after sailing from Fort Lauderdale I needed a break from the ship's food. When traveling i always try to eat local food and our hotel recommended Amodei for good Italian food. My wife and another couple and I stopped in. There were several Italian dishes that sounded interesting but I knew what I needed: pizza and a cold IPA. The restaurant did not disappoint. Pizza and beer just like back home!! (northern Minnesota) We were the first customers of the day and Tamara was all alone but the food was great, service was quick and Tamara was very accommodating and friendly. There were little things she did that demonstrated that she takes pride in her work. We are running out of time but we'll somehow find a way to get back to Amodei for Italian food. I highy recommend this restaurant!! Note: as of this writing I have not tried any of the foods listed below and my review is based what I had and the service provided.

All good, I'm forced to give two stars though because the cocktail was poorly made (sparkling Negroni, I don't know where it came from, maybe soda was added, I can't say).
