Rock Diner - Rodez

We caught the bus into town from our hotel on the outskirts of Rodez and found this place while walking round the town. Despite my limited French, the barman was extremely accommodating and the drinks were reasonably priced too.Its an American based diner, so steak or burgers is the food offering. But what an offering, there are about 20 burgers to choose from, and the portion sizes are fantastic. We made the mistake of ordering dessert, and for the first time ever I couldn't finish mine because it was so huge!After we'd finished we left to find a taxi back to our hotel, without success. (asked locals and the reply was "taxi, en Rodez??" so we headed back to the diner for another round of drinks and asked if they could order us a taxi. This caused quite some consternation, involving all the staff, but eventually they said they had one that would be with us in about 20 minutes. They then gave us the next round of drinks due to the wait! The barman went above and beyond because he even went outside and stood in the road to make sure it stopped.Despite the language barrier, the guys at this diner really looked after us and went beyond what you normally expect at a restaurant. Highly recommended, and we will certainly stop here again. When we next ride through France. A tip though is that there are no buses after about 9pm, and no taxis except at the airport.

We waited at a table for 10 minutes or more. The server even looked at us and we were ignored, so we got up and left and never ordered.

The worst place where we went in France.So disapointed by Soulages museum, what a surprise when we went to the rock dinner.Absolutely awful, food is a huge disaster.Burger not fresh.... At the end we went to O12 and it was much much better.Never will be back inside (rock dinner) even in this Soulages museum.First and last trip in this city.
