First time eating dinner here should've known it was good . I enjoyed i hope they bring the breakfast back . Go check out good affordable and good quality food.
This was my very first time visiting and the food and service was great! The brown skin Lady that had the bun in her hair was very nice and patient when my son spilled my drink and she was very easy to talk to! The Mac and cheese, spaghetti, cabbage, hush puppies, and BBQ chicken was amazing!!! Sweet tea was great too
The barbecue at this restaurant is a standout choice. Located in the former home of the iconic Melton's Barbecue, this relative newcomer in the Eastern North Carolina barbecue scene offers a unique approach. While their cafeteria-style setup includes chopped pork barbecue, they also offer a variety of other dishes such as baby back ribs, brisket, pork chops, meatloaf, fried chicken, and more. The prices are very reasonable, with lunch and dinner options including one meat and two sides for $6.99, and an additional meat for just $1 more. The chopped barbecue is moist and tender, with a nice flavor and a hint of heat. The beef brisket is flavorful but may be too sweet for some. The chicken dishes are excellent, and the sides, including collards, mac and cheese, butter beans, and hushpuppies are well-seasoned and tasty. Overall, this restaurant offers a solid Eastern-style barbecue experience with friendly service and great value.
The chicken at this Southern kitchen is incredibly delicious! The fried chicken is a must-try and the locals love it. The service is very friendly, and the prices are great for the quality of food you receive. Highly recommend.
