Bidrage med feedbackI was there about a year ago and didn’t love it. I will try again though bc I always crave vegan pizza. They didn’t have whole wheat dough which is a must for me.
I had lunch here today (staying at the Hilton just up the road so a 5 minute walk or about 5 minutes from the Twinbrook Metro station). I do find it odd that they call it a vegetarian restaurant while still selling fish. That aside, they do have a lot of options and can make pretty much everything vegan. I had a calzone pretty good. I would certainly go back again.
This place is very comforting in that they know their ingredients and their menu. So, when you go to a vegetarian restaurant (almost all veg has fish like this, you know you can order vegan items and be confident that they are vegan. The menu is enormous and has huge potential for veganizing! I was happy to know about this place because there really aren't many veg*n restaurants in this area anymore. Because of this veg*n (almost 100% restaurant, I am happier. It's a strange combination of food choices, and I think it's more like a veg*n diner than how they advertise themselves. Either way, I love this veg*n restaurant so comforting (repetitive feeling while eating there ! They have a good selection of soups, lots of pizza (vegan cheese and gluten free crusts, as well as vegan whole wheat crusts and calzones (love these!! , many Mexi style food choices (quesadillas and burritos , pasta dishes, faux meat, wraps and sandwiches, salads and a few odds and ends. If you go, you will definitely find something to satisfy your craving for veg*n food. The folks here are super nice. The ambiance, again, is like a veg*n (almost 100% diner very open feeling, but not a focus on decor. Low key choice for a quick meal. The food is fresh and satisfying, but, I can't say it's 5 star dining. It's great for what it is a veg*n enclave (has fish! in a sea of non veg*n eateries where veg*ns can seek refuge. I would be happy to go here over 99% of the eateries in this Rockville area any day of the week. If you're veg*n, I support that you support this place!! As a vegan I was excited to try the vegan pizza, before heading to &pizza as per usual. My mistake. 14 inch Pizza was $23 and $3 for any topping, including DRIED basil herb and jalapeños from a jar….atmosphere of the restaurant could use some upgrades; basement like smell, plastic cups, motel inspired paintings and I was asked to put away my reusable water bottle I had with me…still trying to figure that one out. Yes, lots of vegan options, but will not be coming back.
Simple cafe atmosphere, excellent vegetarian and dairy food, spices just right, excellent service.
