In a quiet night in India, Taverna slipped the new restaurant, which opened its doors in Ashburn (instead of Banjara), we were thrilled with their food prepared by Chef Pankaj from Punjab, which led delicious hearty dishes to share a few pictures...

5 stars are the best Indian I ever had. The lunch buffet is an incredible value for the price and quality/question of the price. The wiper bursts with taste and the butter chicken somme delicious in rice or on fresh bread, brought directly to your table. The staff is polite and helpful, ready to explain all menu items that you are not sure. I always recommend this restaurant to non-urban business partners.

My specific experiences have been with the weekend lunch buffet. The price is amazing, but what you get for that low price is a fantastic selection of dishes which are presented beautifully and taste great. It is clear that they care about the food they are making and how the spread looks. You can expect great customer service, and there are extras such as freshly made omelettes and fresh chai. This blows away other Indian restaurants in the area on all fronts.
