Saigon by the River - Rockhampton

We walked up at 6.25pm to an apparently half full restaurant. The young lady we asked if a table was available rolled her eyes and motioned to a table with bar stools near the front counter.We were left to our own devices for 10 minutes before I approached the counter and asked if I could get a menu from the stack on the side.After another 15 minutes without even having been offered a drink we walked out.How can any hospitality business be so bad at hospitality and so indifferent to its guests comfort?

Everytime we receive great food with great service whether it is eat in or take away. We go once a month as we are local and it never disappoints. The only thing they need to work on is frequent drink checks. Other than that, 10/10.

Stopped in at Saigon Saigon when passing through Rockhampton. We ordered garlic prawns, black pepper chicken, mongolian lamb and fried rice. The meals didn't disappoint with the mongolian lamb being the standout dish of the evening. The atmosphere was laid back and the service was great. A great way to spend the evening.

Service wasn't very good. Once our food and drinks were delivered to us that was the last we saw of the staff. So much for a second drink.The food was nice, but ordinary. The restaurant itself, the building, was very nice, interesting actually.I'd give it a second chance.
